Ugghhh

In a discussion with a friend about
Tab, the soft drink, it hit me that
my dad was always on a diet when
I was a kid.

He was active military and had to
maintain a certain weight in order to
pass inspection or get a promotion.

I watched him diet over and over
again and at the same time, I
remember our family having all the
good snacks as a kid.

So is there any truth to the idea that
you inherit a "fat gene"?

If so, why didn't I get my mom's instead? She maintainted a size 12 all through those days. Wonder how?

My boss' boss was lamenting about how the women in our company have gone crazy and he doesn't understand why. This one bought a Camero, that one wants a jet ski and another just wants to get laid by her ex husband.

I asked their ages, and guess what? You got it......FxxK it Fifties all the way around.

I explained the concept and it made sense to him because he's seen it over and over, just didn't know what to call it.

It doesn't just happen to women who's age is greater than 50. Some women started having kids and careers earlier than others, but we come to that "place in our lives" just the same.

I started to argue with him that I hadn't done the Camero/jet ski route yet, but he gently reminded me about my "Rebellion Mobile", my Honda Silverwing. I blushed and had to admit, that yes, I too had a get-a-way car, just like the others, but I draw the line at sex with the ex.....Touche'

Master Your Metabolism

Michaels says that our hormones (men and women) are out of whack because our bodies were never meant to have to deal with additives, chemicals, HFCS (high fructose corn syrup, which by the way seems to be the most evil thing on the planet). She says we didn't start becoming obese until we started getting lazy about feeding ourselves.

In a nutshell. If it doesn't have a mom, or didn't come directly from the ground or a tree, don't put it in your mouth. Sounds simple, doable and painful. The withdrawls from Chips and queso are going to be mentally painfull, but somethings gotta give. I'll keep you posted
